Not yet unfortunately, basically what it does is this:

Look to the bottom of your screen, do you see something that says 'Done' or 'Loading' or 'Transferring Data' or something similar, it varies with different browsers. Basically, with this MOD, the admin chooses what that text is, and it will remain in the users status bar throughout their whole session at that particular forum.

Hope that helps :)

Only displays the text in IE. Doesn't display in FF.

I don't know if I have modded my overal_header.tpl alot or what, but the instructions for that file say:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
templates/subSilver/overall_header.tpl

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
<!-- END switch_enable_pm_popup -->

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------------
#
{U_SCROLL}
However, since the U_SCROLL has a <script> tag in it you actually need to insert the U_SCROLL after the </script> tag right after that text, such as:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
templates/subSilver/overall_header.tpl

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
<!-- END switch_enable_pm_popup -->
//-->
</script>

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------------
#
{U_SCROLL}

Off hand I don't remember if there was a script tag directly under the switch. I don't think there was or I probably would have done as you had, it is probably just that your file has been MOD'ded a lot as you have said.

Yeah, it is. I just checked a vanilla install of phpBB and the pm popup tag is after the </script>

Ignore my comment. :lol:

Not Working

Post by IgnorantNewGuy » Sun Aug 07, 2005 7:17 am

I installed this via easyMod yesterday and it worked just fine. I've been installing other MODs and now it doesn't, of course.

The text for this one AND header text are still in the ACP, they're just not showing up in either the browser or header. :?:

Thx,
Scott 8)

There has been a conflict with one of the other MOD's.
Which other MOD's did you install?

Hmmmm??

Post by IgnorantNewGuy » Sun Aug 07, 2005 7:51 am

Well, I've done a number of MODs, but they didn't work and I deleted them.

I can't really determine what went wrong. I think I'll just throw my hands up and move on. :)

I've done a lot of additions and those that failed I deleted, but some files may have been altered and not repaired.

Too much to try to figure out.

Thx anyway,
Scott

FWIW, IE still displays "Done" as the final in the bar...it displays the message inputted but it's not scrolling and doesn't stay.
