Confirmation Code

Hello,
Im having a problem with users trying to register,my board is new and just installed,but when users try to register theres this verification code/image and its not showing,it has a big red x,and users cant continue to register without this since its needed for them to register,any help would be appreciated.

In the Admin Panel, under Board Configuration, select Visual confirmation settings. On that page, enable YES to "GD CAPTCHA" and see if that resolves the issue.

Hello,

this is whats enabled under the visual confirmation settings

Enable visual confirmation for registrations = Enabled
Enable visual confirmation for guest postings = Enabled
Enable users to refresh the confirmation image = Enabled
GD CAPTCHA = Yes

and also on the preview box theres no image showing,its jst a big red x,what can i do to fix this?

Who do you host your board with? GoDaddy.com
How did you install your board? I used the download package from phpBB.com
Is your board a fresh install or a conversion? Fresh Install
Do you have any MODs installed? Yes
What MODs do you have installed? activity_stats_mod and AntiBotQuestion.
When did your problem begin? Today when i try to register a new user for the first time(7/30/2009)
Please describe your problem. When i or a user try to register they cannot register because theres a confirmation code that need to be put in order for the user to register,and that confirmation code is not showing up theres a red x.and registration cannot be continued because of this problem.i have the following enabled and still the problem occurs.

Enable visual confirmation for registrations = Enabled
Enable visual confirmation for guest postings = Enabled
Enable users to refresh the confirmation image = Enabled
GD CAPTCHA = Yes
What styles do you currently have installed? prosilver
What language(s) is your board currently using? british english
Which database type/version are you using? MySQL 5
What is your level of experience? Comfortable with PHP and phpBB

Your board is not working correctly and will not work on a Godaddy free hosting account due to the advertisement injection.

So is there anything i can do then?i mean thw board workd correctly i dont know why you say its not working,only problem i have with it is that the verification image dont show,so if i disable this would the problem be solved?

i dont know about ur screen shot but thats incorrect,something mught be wrong with your broweser,everybody else is seeing my board like on my screen shot provided.

well in that case thats a firefox problem/issue.i just used firefox to view my board and its the same way as your ss.I use I.E and works and shows up fine,but anyways so i just disabled the gd captcha,and now they dont have to use an image for verification but is there any other method to prevent spammers from registering?

Get a host. If you decide to continue using one of Godaddys paid hosting packages be sure to use their Linux package as it works most of the time (not all). Their Windows package will not work at all with phpBB3.

i have a host and is godaddy's economy plan.i dont think just cause i have a free hosting plan with my domain would be the problem of my issue,but thanks anyways
