You haven't uploaded the SMF convertor or it is uploaded to the wrong place. You should see the SMF convertor listed as well as the phpBB2 convertor.Da Gamer wrote:Now I am in the right topic the same thing happpens:
My old forum is http://www.forumguider.com/forums and my new one is http://www.forumguider.com/forum so the path should be ../forums should it? But that is not working. What should I do?

I don't know for sure, but I believe there are differences between RC3 and 1.1.1. You can try the convertor and see if it works. It won't hurt your SMF board if it doesn't work.Ginza wrote:I have an old SMF 1.1 RC3. Do I need to upgrade to higher version of SMF before I could convert it to phpbb3?? Or will I be able to convert it directly to phpbb3?
The attached auth_smf file should workBMercer wrote:I did just converted my mybb board to smf then to phpbb.
The smf board actully works fine, i can do everything.
But in the phpbb i cant log in.
What should i do?
The convertor does not convert the Search Index. You need to build the Index in the phpBB3 Administration Control Panel which is in the Maintenance tab.BMercer wrote:I replaced the old auth file with the one attached, i replaced the install folder, and resterted the conversion, all worked fine (the search index was not converted, i guess it is not important)
You will need to run the conversion again. The convertor was not transferring the salt field which caused the logging in problem. The new, improved convertor attached to this post now does this and it has new additional featuresBMercer wrote:but i still cant log in.
