well the plan was not to whinge and cry at you guys. (mighta sounded like that, cause i'd been fucking swith the site in general for HOURS, not just the forums) but really ask if there were any incompatibilities that i should be aware of or something.

im a very ameture coder; learning as i go, and i know a bit here and there, so with a coding god loking over my shoulder (for advice and to supervise) we changed some of it. But mike knows whats he's doing; and joshu, my brother had no idea why the code wasnt working either.

The webserver i use is a friends linux box, called the CT server, Crawleytech.

www.crawleytech.com is the site, and the forums on THAT have this (or a similar) quick reply mod.Now the site within a site, my Band page,
www.avatar-band.tk
is on that server, and i put forums on it about 5 months ago. so that was the story. If the problem has never been encountered before, then i might try a diferent QR mod, if there is one. But meanwhile, everyone will have to do without, i guess... im resigning myslef to bed.

I've just installed this quick reply mod and now, when clicking a topic I'm getting:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_IF in /home/virtual/site270/fst/var/www/html/board/viewtopic.php on line 672

Any suggestion on how I may fix this please?

Sorry, I got it fixed ... was a missing semicolon in viewtopic.php.

I also get this error on line 671, but I've double checked my cut-and-paste, and the code appears to be the exact same. Can anyone suggest a solution?

I don't understand... I have Quick Reply from Smartor on my board 2.0.8 ans it work fine. How make an other mod if the firt work?

Ok, I've got a really weird problem!

Im running phpBB 2.0.8 and this MOD installed and worked fine on it.

However, today I installed the "Avoid register_globals" mod and the quick reply button does not show up anymore - I just get the red coss like when an image is missing, but I've checked and the image is not missing!

I can still click there and post a quick reply, but I can no longer view the quick reply button.

Any Idea how to fox this please guys?

Uninstall the Avoid register_globals MOD....
