[ABD] "Skype" Smilies/Emoticons for phpBB 3

What/Why: Skype Smilies for Phpbb3. I searched the web and couldn't find this anywhere, so added them manually to my forum. Decided to share in case anyone else is looking for them - it saves you a lot of work.

How to install?

Unzip & upload to /images/smilies/
Login to your Admin Panel
Goto Posting => Smilies
Click on "Install Smilies Package"
Select smilies.pak
Choose delete all if you want to use the new set and none of the old default smilies.
Choose keep all if you want to keep whatever smilies you had previously, this will ONLY add smilies which don't use tags you already have in use.
Choosing Replace matches is not recommended. This creates an undesired mix of smiley sets.

It is suggested that you remove the current default smilies when using this set, as there are replacements for all commonly used ones. This set CAN be used alongside the default ones, but you might have to edit some tags as this set uses 95% of the default tags.

You are welcome to add aliases to smilies but I suggest leaving the current codes intact. The only thing Skype requires for use of their smilies is that you use the same tags. The only difference is that instead of their (..) system this uses the more standardized phpbb system of :..: for smilies.
Please don't use this pack for commercial means or on commercial sites.

Nice stuff, 'emoticon-0183-swear.gif' seems to have an opaque background though.

Thanks! I noticed that one as well - strangely enough that's how the smiley comes from Skype themselves.

Btw how did you get that flash gadget under the user name, i am very interested to know how to do that.

Thanks. I doubt I will end up doing MSN icons as well, as I've only really released these as well I made them for myself so why not spare other people the trouble of adding them?

Off topic:
The flash gadget under the user name is an Xbox Live Gamer tag, and you can find a mod for this on this site, (this is the thread you are looking for.)
There are a few bugs (one of them prevents new user registration!), just read through the thread for fixes.

Thanks. Great smilies. I'm receiving an error when trying to use the 'more smilies' smilies. I've reinstalled the smilies pack, but I still can't access the other smilies, unless I type the code for my smilies, smiley by smiley, and that's no good because my visitors won't know the smiley symbols and won't understand why the other smilies don't work.

But I love the smilies.

Thx for this nice set!

I am currently working on my own dark theme for phpbb3 ... and ... of course, I would like to have the Skype emoticons ready for dark background.

Even after extensible google search, I could not find a matching set. So, I decided to try it on my own.

Did try different Software and ended up with Adobe ImageReady. Its not finished yet, and the background transparency ist set to #313131 (back-color of my skin), but I thought the "I need a dark version" - guys should have a look and try if it matches their theme:
