Would you be able to point me in the right direction to fix this:
edges.gif
They seem to overextend. This only happens at the very bottom of the board and not on any other parts of the site (happens on the left and right side).

Ok this style is installed and it is forcing a scroll horizontaly out of the I-frame I have it in.
Can someone point out where to adjust this? Or is it possible to adjust this style so a user does not have a horizontal scroll?
Thanks.

In your iframe code, should be able to add in the scrolling="no" property.

ex.

Code: Select all

<iframe src="page1.html" name="page1" width="800" height="600" scrolling="no"></iframe>

Yes I know but I'm sorry that's not what I ment.
The default "prosilver" style fits naturaly I guess, no matter if the forum is in a frame or not.
The "proFormell" style creates a bottom scroll bar in the frame.
I don't care if users scroll verticaly, seems like a natual progression. But the new theme seems to force a scroll bar being to wide for the frame. It's as if the header is fixed. I tried changing the header_bg but that didn't work.

I think I found what to do here;

http://www.m-a-styles.de/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9#p466

Edited to add: Followed the edits step by step and It does not seem to auto width correctly. This is what I may have confused:

Code: Select all

<link type='text/css' href='{T_THEME_PATH}/standard.css' rel='stylesheet' />
<link href="{T_THEME_PATH}/print.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="print" title="printonly" />
The edits to common.css and colours.css were double checked. Bummer, I liked this style.

@Jaifaime: You seem to have some extra </div>-tags that cause your errors. Could you send me a copy of your proFormell folder?

@Fantail: In what way does it not do the auto-width correctly?

Thanks for the reply ^^

I took your advice about the extra div tags and managed to fix the very bottom one. That weird upper one I can't fix but it doesn't really bother me that much. So all is good now thanks :)

It seems there is still an extra </div> right in front of <div id="page-footer">.

marc1706; It does not fit into the frame. not sure how else to describe the problem. But I think to have followed the instructions. Including a screen as an example, if I can resolve this I won't delete the style.

What width does the frame have?
If it is below 650px, you can delete the style.
Also, I think the auto-width instructions are somehow wrong. I think you also have to do this: http://www.m-a-styles.de/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9#p461

I have a light header background pic and the white font where advanced search and the board description is, its very hard to see against my header pic, how can I go about making the font color black (just in the header). Also, I installed a mod that place a icon and some text next to "FAQ Search Members Logout" but it sits to high. This is probably a question with the mod and not this theme but would I find that adjustment in a css file so I can lower it to perhaps "center" so it matches the rest of the navbar?

Check this is a proformell skin i have used for http://www.gospelofdoom.in/forum/ but as i have changed it to test header I feel both on the left and right edges theres this white curve and I am not sure what it is. The header i have made is 850 x 150 but seems a bit stange if you carefully look at it.

Also wanted to know how can we add menus like in so many styles and forums here for my forums as well and also let me know make professional looking header for my forums if there are any softwares out here. I am a complete newbie trying to understand and become and decent user as in how to create and manage forums and stuff.

My Pm is not yet activated and suggestion and links provided would be of great help to me.

@khushalbhadra:
1. Open overall_header.html
Find:

Code: Select all

<div style="height: 90px;">
Replace with:

Code: Select all

<div style="height: 140px;">
Also, you are missing the fact, that this style uses 4 images: header_bg.png, header_wide.gif, header_wider.gif, header_widest.gif
Create 3 more headers and make them the same size and your done. ;)

2. I think there is a MOD out there, called Buttons Menu. As it works for prosilver, it should also work for this style.

3. If you want to create professional looking logos, try using Adobe Photoshop(expensive) or GIMP(free).

@GemBoard:
Take a look at this part of colours.css:

Code: Select all

/* Search box
--------------------------------------------- */

#search-box {
	color: #FFFFFF;
}

#search-box #keywords {
	background-color: #FFF;
}

#search-box input {
	border-color: #0075B0;
}
You can change pretty much everything you need there.
For the icon-issue, I would just edit the icon if I were you. Changing the CSS would just mess with all the other icons.

Thanks so much I will look into it. The 3 other files you mentioned should just exactly make it look as the main headerbar. Whats the purpose of those other 3 files you mentioned.
