Not weird at all. We have lives outside of phpBB and like to lead them.

You are more than welcome to change the code provided any way you see fit.

can anyone help me? i have removed mchat from board index and put a link to mchat.php. when i press the link and go to the chat area im loged out from my forum. everytime i do login and press the chat link i am logged out. what is wrong? how can i fix it?

I understand that. I just figured it would be an easy fix. If someone can tell me how to fix it, I will.

Any particular reason for adding the link as a forumlink? That might be the reason, but I am not 100% sure.
There are instructions on how to add the link in overall_header.html

Any particular reason for adding the link as a forumlink? That might be the reason, but I am not 100% sure.

i want the mchat to be in a category by itself, not in the board index so i have made a link to go to mchat.php. how is the proper way to do that? can you give me the steps? thanks

sotiris25s, follow the install instructions.
If you dont want mchat on index, then exclude the edits of index.php and your styles index_body.html

How did you add the link cuz I just tried it on my forum and didn't get logged out.

Try changing the link for the forum to just mchat.php.
its not the same?? i have created a new forum link to link to www.myforum.com/mchat.php (eg). its the same you are telling me

I don't know any other way of saying it, works on my forum.

Also,

root/mchat.php != www.myforum.com/mchat.php

As I specifically asked what the link was that you were inserting.
