[ABD] Download Area

Modification Name: Download Area
Author: onehundredandtwo

Modification Description:: MOD that allows users with permissions to upload files in the Download Area. Unlike other "Download" MODs, any file that is posted on the board can optionally be uploaded in the Download Area, and files can just be uploaded to the Download Area and not the board (sorry if that's a little confusing).

Modification Version:: DEV

Requirements: phpBB 3.0.6 (this is what I will test it on)

Features:

# Downloads
Permissions for file information viewing, downloading, uploading etc.
Files that are uploaded to the board can optionally be uploaded to Download Area if correct permissions.

Modification Download: In development.

Very interesting, there is no "download center" mod for phpbb3 today !

Actually, there is. But I'll be kind enough to not post a link to another MOD in a mod development topic.

Anyway, looks like a good idea. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

I have already started developing it, but for my own style. I will release a screenshot when I change it to use the templating system and when it works for prosilver.

if you mean it downloads in a download manager, then yes. The MIME-Type can be changed to do this.

Nice mod

After I upload a file to Download Area, I can copy that link and paste to my post and submit so when user see my post and follow that link user will easyly to download my file?

yep, the link is static, same as everything else in phpBB.

Understand why you don't want to link to this other Download MOD, but I've been searching all over and have yet to stumble across it. As this one's not ready to go, would you send the link?
