OK I don't know where I went wrong here. I installed this mod and followed these steps very carefully. when I was done I could not access the acp and the forums are reporting:

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3828: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /language/en/common.php:1)

I went back and started removing the code in the order in which I installed it and now I have all sorts of issues.

-pics and attachments are broken.
-The mail in everyone's inbox are gone
-locked out of the acp

That means you've edited the files, and saved it with the wrong encoding. Make sure you use a plain text editor like Notepad++ to save the file as UTF-8 without BOM.

Take a look al the very top of the file, the first line must be

Code: Select all

OOOPSIE ok..that would have been nice to know in the modx tutorials.

I downloaded notepad++ from sourceforge

during all of this I lost the includes/function....I guess saving that file with the wrong editor made that go disapear.
Q. Is that a major problem to get back?

may be you are right, but most of we knows that a simple text editor is not the same as programmer editor.
You are not editing a simple txt file, you are editing a program file ;)

It's possible that a bad editor break your files, but you was warned to made a backup of your files too 8-)

Wait a minute, the feed will automatically updated every 60 minutes, right? I installed this, but I'm not getting updates...

Please visit, http://www.schoollife.nl/forum/rss.php

I've got 53 members at the moment and on the forum there will be posted every day. So I don't know why the feed isn't working properly.

I did enable the feeds on the ACP and I did purge cache. So what am I doing wrong?
