Help needed on approuving a post, error message

Hello everyone,

I just tried to approve a guest topic in the moderation panel and got this message
"You are not authorised to access this area." when I ried to approved it.

Can anyone help me on fixining this. Guess it could have to do with permissions.
I tried to look the permissions for group administrators, everything is green (total access)

So now I don't know :\

Seems strange anyway that a founder admin could not have access to some part of his forum

Are you a member of the moderator group as well because you need to be.

Ah didn't know Admins needed to be in the moderator group as well... sorry about that...

EDIT: I added myself to the global moderators group but still got the error message

Domain: .forum.cineastes.com
Cookie name: phpbb3_5mpwc
Path: /
SSL: Not active

Try removing the leading dot on that cookie domain.

Ugggg.... You are running SEO. That could be part of the problem, since SEO screws with all of your URLs.

Sorry, but what it this supposed to change to the matter ? Do you know the meaning of that dot here ?
Being authorized is not the same as being logged, I assume that copt would have noticed if he had additionally been logged out.

By "screw", you mean, change don't you, like a mod does change something to phpbb, or?
No need to mention that copt's forum is using more mods than only SEO mods, each of them screwing some part of the original code.

So copt, you tried to be a global moderator, but did you actually tried to be a moderator of the particular forum these threads are in ?
Is it only the case with guest threads ?

Correct but if it's wrong it's wrong even if this isn't the problem.

If it was wrong, copt's forum would always have sid in urls.
The thing is the second example in the KB article is not universal, because if you use forum.example.com as your cookie domain (no dot), you won' t be able to use it in example.com or in -www.example.com, which you may want.
Using .example.com (with the dot) will make the cookie usable in -www.example.com, example.com and forum.example.com.
So using the dot is actually working in all cases.So in copt case I'd advise to use ".cineastes.com" as a cookie domain. But ".forum.cineastes.com" is ok too while forum.cineastes.com will not, because he's actually using http://www.forum.cineastes.com, the dot is actually required in this case.

if you weren't, http://www.forum.cineastes.com would not work. So the www prefix is indeed set, and you would lose cookie based session on it if using forum.cineastes.com as a cookie domain (since you do not redirect that dupe).

I tried to add myself as super moderator for that specific forum but nothing changed. I mean I can go as far to the moderation panel. But when I click approve to approve the message I get the error message I mentionned above.
