Is the database collation set to utf8_bin? (you can see this in phpMyAdmin)

Regarding how to do cash/points, I replied at http://forums.cricketmx.com/viewtopic.p ... 512#p98512 - I will be incorporating this as an actual feature this week but as an interim measure hopefully that works (I haven't tested it)

Thanks for this mod :) I've also a problem with accents :

Image

And all my tables are in UTF8_BIN...

I think navlinks in the html files would be helpful... :D

And 3 bugs :
1/ One of my members managed to post a quiz outside a category. So nobody can go into the quiz.
2/ One of my members managed to make a question with 4 answers but she has not selected the good reply. Se was able to submit the quiz.
3/ We are 4 to have been able to play three time the same quiz...

Hi Vallkas,

This appears to be because your PHP setup has a very high level of error reporting (E_NOTICE). They are just notices, not warnings or parse errors.

Thanks for posting it though, it means there are a few areas in the code I could clean up a bit to make it more efficient so I will look into those areas where the variables have not been defined.

I will also ask quahappy (who has tested the program a lot as I have been developing it) if he has seen any of these errors, but I am pretty sure it is because of a high level of error reporting and not because of any serious problem in the MOD :)

I tested at localhost, ACP module shows some ?? chars..
So, after examining I saw the sql code adds table: phpbb_quiz_categories with defualt settings, my phpMyAdmin settings was not utf8_bin default, so I changed that table type to utf8_bin
Also,
I opened
Includes/acp/acp_quiz.php
Find (3 times)

Code: Select all

$new_category_name = utf8_normalize_nfc( request_var('catname', '') );
$new_category_desc = utf8_normalize_nfc( request_var('catdesc', '') );
Replace with

Code: Select all

$new_category_name = utf8_normalize_nfc( request_var('catname', '', true) );
$new_category_desc = utf8_normalize_nfc( request_var('catdesc', '', true) );
Then, ??? chars fixed at ACP.

quiz.php page also shows ?? chars, probably cause of similar problem. (utf8_bin fixed, must be with request_var true settings for chars)
