I was wondering how I can change the titles in the admin section, they are a bit ugly.

From ACP_Announcement_Center to Announcement Center
Fromt ACP_Announcement_Center_Config to Announcement Center Config

Those should not be like this...
This indicates a language file problem. Make sure that you made all language edits
My mods in MODDB:
Add Homepage link in header - Change user activity post limit - Post number in viewtopic
If you need support click on the support tab there and post your question.
Do not PM me - chances of viewing my PMs are way thinner than viewing the support question in the customization DB...

If I'm not wrong, this is the problem of saving your edited file with BOM. Try using Notepad++ and select "without BOM". That should solve your problem hopefully.

i've removed all board files and restored them again

re-edited all files carefully

installed the mod very successfully

but i FAILED again :S

only guests can see the annoucements, there must be something wrong in my ACP, the radio-check options in "configuration" cannot be saved, if i choose any of them "everyone, guests, groups" and "submit" the changes after refreshing that page it appears as if i didn't select any option, deselected, neither of the "group(s) that should see the ann" options is marked as shown below

You must highlight all the groups in the box and then click groups. To highlight them click on the first and hold the button and scroll down the screen until all are highlighted in blue.

Hope this helps!

Or you may use Ctrl (in Windows) to select random groups. :P

In your highlighted area, select "Groups" from radio buttons, as told by Dave.

could you please change your config.php to have debug enabled (should look like this at the end:

Code: Select all

@define('PHPBB_INSTALLED', true);
 @define('DEBUG', true);
// @define('DEBUG_EXTRA', true);
and let me know what error messages you are getting, if any?
