Hi xceler8shun,
Thank you for this great MOD. I installed it with Auto Mod and it works, except all the field are not updated for existing posts. For example, in "last post" or in the list of topics, the login name appears instead of user name. It works fine for new posts.

The mod won't change the name in posts, last posts etc as that is the username. The username is what is viewable on all pages. The loginname won't appear on the forum for users to see except in the UCP.

Hi xceler8shun,

I got the 1.06 version working with Active Directory by changing the auth_ldap.php with similar edits as in auth_db.php.
Search for username and replace it with loginname.
With kind regards,
Tiemco

Hi Tiemco,

I thought that would be the case, but am yet to setup a LDAP testbed to test it out. Once the current version is approved, I'll see if I can get the LDAP issue sorted and validated.

I installed the mod with automod and there were 2 that didn't work, so I did that manually, but now on the registration page, for login name it says:
{ LOGINNAME }:
{ LOGINNAME_EXPLAIN }

How do I fix this?

Oh and I have 3.0.6, but somebody said the mod will still work...

I just installed again on 3.0.6 and latest version of automod and cant replicate your issue.

When you installed with automod, did it show any changes in red and why they failed?

What other MOD's are installed on the Board if any?

Can you show me the code in your styles/prosilver/template/ucp_register.html file and your includes/ucp/ucp_register.php file.

http://pastebin.com/m3923a5aa thats style/prosilver/template/ucp_register.html

I didn't take out the files from the mod folder, because I wasn't sure if automod did that for me....Is that what I need to do?
And there were 2 things I had to do manually, but I did them.

Hi Ferrari353,

Looking at your ucp_register.php file, there have been no MOD changes made to that file, hence the template file doesn't know what to look for and is why you are getting errors.

There could also be errors with other files as well.

I would suggest to restore your forum files to their previous state and retry to install via automod.

The link below explains how to install MOD's with automod if needed.
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1367815

You will also need to run the install_seplogin.php file to make the required database changes.

With a basic install of 3.0.6 and automod, you shouldn't run into any errors.

Automod needs the files in the directory to uninstall.

My best advice at this stage would be to start over with a fresh install and try again.

Oh well I can't....I'm an idiot and I didn't back up my files before I installed it...the farthest back I can go is to before I took the files out of the mod folder....the only other way would be to manually undo everything

Problem solved! I think the problem was that I didn't run the install after using automod....because I was looking through the files, and I noticed, none of them are modded....so I modded the whole thing manually....I guess my restoration was created before I used automod....I thought it was after....but its fixed now and working...
