I had the same problem and figured out it was because the user in question had a negative karma and so they didn't show. This was due to the fact that the "Needed Karma" was set to zero in the ACP. As soon as I changed that to a large negative number it worked.

Might be the same thing.

You shouldn't be going there! Look, just go to your forum's index and type
/install_karma
After the address that shows up in the bar, making sure there is only one of these slashs:
/
If you uploaded all the stuff, making sure you have uploaded all the files for each style you have installed, it should work, though mine doesn't.

Yep, that's little error at install guide, this problem will be fixed at next release or you can do it manually now by this little step:
OPEN
includes/session.php
FIND

Code: Select all

require($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_karma.' . $phpEx);
REPLACE WITH

Code: Select all

require($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/mods/functions_karma.' . $phpEx);

You should add an option to let only moderators give karma to people.

Just want to say, great mod! Two questions:

1. I set karma max power to 10. I, as the admin with almost 2000 posts, can give 10 karma points. When I log in with a test account that has only a few posts, I can only give 1 point. I'm assuming the power is based on postcount? Can you explain more how the power works. Thanks.

2. I changed my language file so that all instances of 'Karma' now read 'Reputation'. I want to change the credits at the footer of my pages to read:

Reputation functions powered by Karma MOD © 2007, 2009 m157y

instead of:

Karma functions powered by Karma MOD © 2007, 2009 m157y

Where can I edit this? I can't find it in the overall_footer.html and that file isn't even on the list of edits for this mod so I don't know where to find it.

karma_powered / log(days_registered)
where is log(days_registered) = natural logarithm of registered days
karma_powered = karma value (which showed with enabled power)

Little attention to Karma MOD users.
All who has version below 1.2.3, please update to 1.2.3.
Because i want drop update guides for versions below 1.2.0.
P.S.
Because lot of changes was made i need to update all of them to latest version and as you understand it will be a lot of work.

P.P.S
At one of next releases will be added converters from User Reputation Mod by idiotnesia and Reputation Mod by Oleg NT. Second mod popular at Russia.

Ouch, and some little problem, my spanish translator was gone, so i need new or spanish translation will be dropped. And a good news for translation at next release will be added Czech translation.
Also if you want to translate Karma MOD to your language and contribute it with Karma MOD release, just translate it and PM to me. And i'll be glad if you know how svn works.

Hi - I'm new to using the forum software. I have webhostingpad as my hoster.

I'd like to know specifically how to install this mod, or others, onto my phpforum.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
