Do you have any suggestions for what to do after I manually install it? Aside of course from refreshing everything.

You have to set your settings within the skype program to show your status on the web.

OK, so I've trashed and reinstalled the site like I've done 5 times before and manually installed Skype_Mod and run the db_update.php in the root directory. I still have the same problem as before with two installs even though there was only one and ran into a problem with the db_update.php saying that the mySQL databases already had them installed.

So I've ignored the manual installed and tried with autoMOD, I ignore the DIY instructions as I have been told afterwards and it doesn't show up in a style I'm using [clanzdarkness3]. It does show up in prosilver, but when I enter the info and click submit I get mySQL errors. While I only had one install of it instead of two it still just will not work. Anyone have any suggestions here because this is getting ridiculous.

As with any mod install you also have to apply the edits to the html files if you style is not prosilver or subsilver2. I don't know what the errors are (I can't see what you see) that you state you have but can only assume you didn't run the db_update.php file to update the database.

Hi there,

I tried installing this exciting MOD. The first time I run it through Automod, and though system said all was ok and install was successfull but when I checked the forum nothing changed. So I decided to do the installation manually and after I completed all the changes and after running db_update.php under the root i get the following error message

SQL: ALTER TABLE phpbb_users ADD user_skype varchar( 255 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT ''
Error: Duplicate column name 'user_skype'


SQL: ALTER TABLE phpbb_users ADD user_skype_type tinyint( 1 ) DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL
Error: Duplicate column name 'user_skype_type'

I'm really not sure what to do next....

Any help would be greatly appreaciated

After the install it doesn't even show up in prosilver or subsilver2. It does show up in twightBB, but with {skype_name} instead of Skype Name. I might try installing it again and run the db_update.php, but I still got the suggestions to manually modify the install.

cafeholtier that means those columns in the table already exist, ignore and continue with the install instructions.

Here's the docs so far for installing skype_mod using autoMOD

1. upload skype_mod to the mods folder in the store directory
2. Check autoMOD to see that it has been uploaded
3. click install
4. ignore the DIY warnings, but move the db_update.php to your root directory
5. go to http://yourdomain/phpbb/db_update (replace phpbb with whatever you call your phpBB install directory
6. If you use prosilver or subsilver2 you're fine if not and your style is based on one of these go to your style and open the template directory. Open memberlist_im.html and copy the contents of the same file from prosilver or subsilver2 and paste them in and save.
7. in the Template directory open ucp_profile_profile_info.html and copy from prosilver or subsilver2 and paste and save depending on which your style is based.
8. Now I need to know what other html file to open so that it will show when someone views your profile. Please add to this someone
