Given that 3.0.7 was only released yesterday, and that today I have only just got my new computer I haven't yet had a chance to update the style.

I will begin updating it today, although because so many people want the fluid-width fuctionality that will add two or three days onto the original re-release date.

In the meantime, the 3.0.6 version will work fine on 3.0.7 .

How to fix footer ?

Hey Artuurins,

i hate the self problem, but i have fix it. (sorry for my bad english)

You have created only Forums, no Categorys. Create a Category and subordinate your Forums in the Category (Windows, MAC OS and Linux)

Now, the Footer Bug is fixed :-)

@PlanetStyles

Very big thanks for the great Style :-) Thats the best Style i have seen (based on Prosilver)

Hi Christian!!!

So allow me to start out by saying this theme is amazing... Simple, yet epic.

There is only three small things Id like to change.

#1 Is there a way I can move the users avatar so that it is located under the user rank? So it be in this order

Username -> usertitle-> Rank image-> avatar

The other thing is that I been trying to install the top 5 mod in absolution, but unlike most styles based on prosilver you cant really seem to do that as according to the author i need to change the top 5 html page he gives me to match your style...Kind of stuck there.

I gave it a try but came up with this

Code: Select all

<div class="forabg">
	<div class="inner"><span class="corners-top"><span></span></span>
		<table class="table1" cellspacing="1" id="top_five">
		<thead>
		<tr>
			<th style="width: 50%;">{L_NEWEST_TOPICS}</th>
			<th style="width: 20%;">{L_TOP_FIVE_ACTIVE}</th>
			<th style="width: 30%;">{L_TOP_FIVE_NEWEST}</th>
		</tr>
		</thead>
		<tbody>
			<tr class="bg2">
					<td valign="top"><!-- BEGIN top_five_topic --><a href="{top_five_topic.U_TOPIC}">{top_five_topic.TOPIC_TITLE}</a><br />{top_five_topic.USERNAME_FULL}<br /><!-- END top_five_topic --></td>
					<td valign="top"><!-- BEGIN top_five_active -->{top_five_active.USERNAME_FULL}<br /> {L_POSTS}: <a href="{top_five_active.S_SEARCH_ACTION}">{top_five_active.POSTS}</a><br /><!-- END top_five_active --></td>
					<td valign="top"><!-- BEGIN top_five_newest -->{top_five_newest.USERNAME_FULL}<br /> {L_JOINED}: {top_five_newest.REG_DATE}<br /><!-- END top_five_newest --></td>
				</tr>
		</tbody>
		</table>

	<span class="corners-bottom"><span></span></span></div>
</div>
Image

somewhat displaced and fugly.... Here is a link to the mod in case you need it.
https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... t=top+five

The last thing would be the annoying quick reply button... It seems I have to click it for the quick reply box to show up? Any fix to remove that?

Hey warefly,

As for your first question, I'm currently updating the style to 3.0.7 (and making really good progress too). One of the new features that will be implemented is a custom viewtopic page, where the avatar will be below the username anyway. :) I'm loooking at getting that released asap, 2 days I reckon.

With regard to the Top 5 MOD, I've just tried the code you posted and it looks fine. Okay, it doesn't use the same header bar as the categories / forums although it still blends in with the style. I'm actually re-coding the structure of the category headers for 3.0.7 so at this moment in time I can't give you the code you'd need. I will however try my best to help you once I've released Absolution for 3.0.7. :)

Finally, the quick reply problem can be sorted by following stevemaury's guide here. Hope this helps :)

Very nice Style Planet Styles. I installed it on my board this weekend and am loving it so far. It also looks great with my OpenID MOD. Can't think of anything I would tweak to make it better, just wanted to show my support.

Keep up the good work. :)

Thanks a bunch Masterz, I loved the background music of your site btw :).

Anyway, a small update regarding the style. No - I haven't forgotten about 3.0.7, in fact I've already updated it to 3.0.7 . The only thing preventing me from releasing it is some new small features here and there...cleaning up some pages etc. I won't be around tomorrow (at all), so I'm hoping to have it released on thursday evening at the latest.

Hang in there folks, it'll be worth the wait. :)

hi guys!

I'm a little lost:
I wanted to add yShout to the end of the board.

But I have no idea which are the files I have to edit?
It says I should put the following code into the <head> (Overall_header.html?)

Code: Select all

<script src="yshout/js/jquery.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="yshout/js/yshout.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="yshout/example/css/light.yshout.css" />

<script type="text/javascript">
   new YShout();
</script>

and this one whereever I want to make the shoutbox appear:

Code: Select all

<div id="yshout"></div>
Where do I have to put this if I want it to be showen below the statistics area?

TY so much in advance!

Hey
Thanks for Brilliant work. I had a VBULLETIN Board with a Similar forum Which I purchased. This free one is a total bonus :)

Any News on Fluid Style Theme?

Please Do that. I tried to do that but I don't have photoshop and Image editing is one thing I am not very good at.

When I install this theme on My Board, it looks so small on my monitor :(

Waiting for Fluid Style Theme. BTW if U need any help... please let me know. I can help fixing bugs for u as well as others. :)

@DW212: If you want to put that code below the statistics, put it in index_body.html . If you want it to be shown on every page of the forum, put it in overall_footer.html :)

The 3.0.7 version of the style (will be released today) supports fluid width. :)

I had maybe a similar problem when changing some things.

I had to go into ACP and styles template and clear the cache.

Then changes showed up.

Hope this helps.

Best regards, Jon

Did you clear the cache? On your ACP main page click on "Purge Cache" and or go to Styles and refresh the template and theme.

Alternatively in your ACP you can go to "Load Settings" (On the left hand side) and change "Recompile stale style components:" to Yes. This will refresh the template after making a change, making it easier to modify the template so you do not have to refresh the cache every time.

Just make sure you turn it back off after you are done making your changes.

thank you so much, gyus!

The cache thing was the problem!
I was not able to solve the shoutbox problem yet, but at least now I'm able to modify the theme!
