Now I need to know what other html file to open so that it will show when someone views your profile. Please add to this someone

memberlist_im.html is for the popup when clicking on the link in a users profile and memberlist_body.html is the file to edit to get the link to show when viewing someone's profile....or as I originally stated to you

As with any mod install you also have to apply the edits to the html files if you style is not prosilver or subsilver2.

I checked back and that was never told to me. As a matter of fact, I had to figure out what files to change myself. I have copied and pasted the memberlist_im.html from subsilver2 which my theme is based on, which I mentioned in my 5s minutes it took me to write the docs, refreshed the templates, themes and imagesets and it still doesn't show up.

Actually what the post that your link leads to says was:

As with any mod install you also have to apply the edits to the html files if you style is not prosilver or subsilver2. I don't know what the errors are (I can't see what you see) that you state you have but can only assume you didn't run the db_update.php file to update the database.

That says nothing about which files to change and I've changed all the files and done the db_update.php and it still doesn't work. Doing a search of memberlist_body.html there isn't even a mention of skype there in either the subsilver2 where it shows up or in my theme based on subsilver2.

You don't understand how to install a modification. You have to do the edits per the install xml file for subsilver2

Naturally, you will find nothing within the default phpBB files because this is a modification, as in, it modifies the core phpBB files.

You've never referred to this and there are no docs with the mod. I've installed many mods with no problem. You have 29 pages of people who are having problems with your mod so I wouldn't point the finger at me. I have yet to see commentary about problems with a mod to the extent of this mod. I really want to make this work because skype is becoming the #1 VoIP app. We just need better direction to the install directions.

I've made the change according to you link and now everything works just fine. Sorry to be such a pain in the ass, but if you had just put a link to the webpage you suggested it would have been much easier. With the mod is a file called modx.prosilver.en.xsl not .xml so that doesn't work, but as I said a link would work better.

What does it say on this page (the install_mod.xml file from the mod) under "Additional MODX Files"?

Also, FYI, modx.prosilver.en.xsl is a phpBB required file included with all mods...and within the contrib directory, is a file called subsilver2.xml which is the same one that I linked you to above and which happens to be the "Additional MODX Files" link from the main install xml file.

..and the 20 pages have comments other than "people who are having problems with your mod..". In fact a few state after your post "Mod works fine, thanks"...etc.

After being downloaded ~6,000 times you would think there would be more than 29 pages of posts if the mod was so messed up as you would have everyone believe.

Also, I would have posted a link quicker but I didn't understand what your problem was initially.

At any rate, I hope you have learned how to properly and fully read a modification install file.

Can I get a link to your board and is it like this no matter which style you are using?

I just tested it on my forum and the icon is displaying fine for me.

I reverted back to prosilver and its working fine but I would seriously like to be able to use my actual template. the same thing happens with other mod i installed, called mchat

I don't know though why its not working because this template i use is based on prosilver....

if you want to have a look let me know so I can change it back to coffee_time and you can see for yourself
