Deleting or Trashing posts

Post by Dragonfly_Dreams » Wed Mar 31, 2010 8:18 am

What do you do with old posts made on your forum?

Do you delete them of put them in a certain section (I have made a rubbish bin section & move old posts to that section)

The reason i am asking this as if i delete old posts it deletes peoples post count.
And i am wondering if it is using up my bandwidth just sitting there.

Any ideas on how i can over come this? Please!!!

I would make a column in the users table, that increases every time someone posts, but when they delete posts it doesn't go down, or you can just stop deleting posts from making the user_posts go down or make a hidden forum where you put trash topics ;)

Thanks Steve, is there any way of getting rid of it without getting rid of peoples post count? :D
