Would love to see the official Wordpress integration for phpBB :) and Joomla of course

I will feel more comfortable when the bridges are being maintained officially by phpbb team :)

Well there aren't any official MODs, so I wouldn't think there would be official bridges either.

But it sounds like good news, it would be great to see something come out of this. :)

We do hope, upon completion, the Drupal bridge will be the first official one. :)

Very good approach, these bridges. Forums nowadays are often part of a bigger site, maintained by a CMS like Drupal, MODxCMS, Wordpress, Joomla, CMSMS, etc.

I guess the most wanted bridges are stuff like login, groups and permissions sharing. Is it perhaps a good idea to create a basic "howto retrieve login/groups/permissions" for this purpose, so others can also start to work on bridges?
My extensions:
Simple CMS, Feed post bot, Avatar Resize, Modbreak, Magic OGP, Live topic update, Modern Quote, Quoted Where (GDPR) and Autoresponder.
Newest: FAQ manager for 3.2

Like my work? Buy me a coffee to keep it coming. :ugeek:

Ooh, interesting. I noticed the one available at drupal.org was quite out-of-date. :)

i'm looking forward to this one, you can sign me up for beta testing ;)

edit: I know it's still in "dev" status, but can the user reg throughout drupal, or wil the registration be only on the phpbb side?

I like how the title is "Introducing Bridges," as if this is the first time that the term or type of software has ever been spoken here.

Like the Europeans coming over to America and "Introducing Disease."

Hi!

There already is some impressive Joomla bridge as I talked about here, even if it's not "official bridge", it's quite useful.

I can't wait to see Typo3 bridge.
