IMO, I don't think that it will be possible to do it, and if it can be done, I don't think it would be a good idea.

Just my views :)
Please note that I will not be porting any of my mods to phpBB 3.1. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

If it can be done I wouldn't mind having it. However the permissions would need to be 100% clear. Like my forum atm I would only allow myself access :)

There was a mod similar to this back in the day for phpNuke 7.x. It somehow used your cPanel data to create POP3 email addresses for your users. They would go to a module, click Create Address, and it would create their email address for them. Then, should the user ever return to the module, it would display a link that they could click to launch their web mail. At the time I had it linked to Horde, but have since switched to Round Cube. This module is long gone though, as I dropped Nuke years ago and lost the archive of my old site when my hard drive array went full meltdown.

I can see that some may like something like this to be created however for me I can't see that I would want to use it.

I can see that a number of users may want to use it even if it only shows the uptime out of cPanel statistics somewhere in the forum.

I believe something like this may be a security risk so this should be of great importance on which method you use to create this mod.

Would it be possible to be able to use the cPanel API access to restrict access to only what is required and so that username+password is not sent unencrypted to the cPanel server across the net.
