MOD Validated/Released

Notes:
This MOD makes it so the announcements and stickies are separate from the other topics. It makes it so users might pay more attention to them.

Wouldn't it be better if Announcements were also seperated into their individual column instead of being with Stickied topics?

I agree to this 100% and to be honest, when i first saw the word 'Global' Announcements I thought that they were going to be shown to ALL forums and not only to one and BELOW the announcements (???) - that what global means - suposed to be stronger than anouncements isn't it?...

Any ideas on that too??

Global Announcements: shown on all forums. Unfortunately, for the MOD i used, they're stuck with the regular announcements. I was hoping this MOD would be different.

Weird isn't it??

Now, after i applied the MOD we are discussing here (and which BTW is very practical and nice looking!), the 'Global'(???) Announcements just show up on top of the normal Topics List... :? (just below the Sticky...)

Weird isn't it??

Hi to all!
I'm the author of the hack... I wrote it for a clean version (without Global Announcements)... I promise you that on the next release, I'll take into account them :)

The .tpl modifications are for subsilver of course... analyzing your HTML code, I think this is the way you could resolve it:
You have a source like this now:

Code: Select all

<td class="catHead" colspan="6" height="28"> ... </td>
I think you should change "catHead" into "row"...
The line should become white...

I'd like a suggestion... I wrote this MOD thinking it should look nice on forums with a few Sticky & Announcements and so I thought it wasn't pretty to separate them each other... In view of Global Announcements Integration... do you think Global Announcements should be separated from Sticky&Announcements or not?

They should, or they're not Global Announcements in all aspects. I mean, sure, they can still be seen on all forums, but they should be above the rest and not sink below Announcements and Stickies.
