Just something very simple dealing with Auctions.

Category/Sub-category in a classified form if possible
Registered Users post up items for bid or buy.
Registered Users can bid or buy.
When an item is sold, it closes out.
Item should be listed with no expiration unless specified by the user - but with admin options to set at a later date - don't want dud or overdue postings.
Site user can register their paypal account for pay to.
Able to upload or link to photo through URL
Add a link to video through URL

No payment gateway needed, they can use paypal. I don't want to get into a complicated area where I have to meet regulations on CC fraud, etc.

It'll be a free service for registered users so not planning to make any money off of this feature. No commissions, etc.

bump - There are tons of people looking for such a mod. simplemachines.org have such a mod and was wondering why this would take so long?

PHPBB3 is a better forum software, but lack a great number of features that other forums have. I'm willing to buy such a MOD if anybody can get it going at a reasonable price. Otherwise I may have no choice but to put plans for a change of forums softwares.

I run a community that people can talk about poultry, etc, and I have just made a simple section for classifieds called the "Market place"... Got a sticky there for some guidelines when posting an ad, then when people are interested they can contact through PM, etc, whatever they like. I would however like to see an auction mod for those with rare breeds of birds they're selling as i've seen other sites do this and I thought it was a neat idea ... I will follow this

I am looking into phpBB for a site I am building. I need the ability to run an auction as described by Mygamebirds. Has there been any progress in this area? Thanks

The old auction mod v1.3 was reported to be vulnerable to a remote file inclusion exploit in 2006. Is anyone working on a new phpBB auction mod for 3.0.x?

Sorry for replying to a seriously old post. .. is there an auction mod yet? I want to start a local community where people can auction off their things, I'd also love if they could auto share those posts on their own Facebook pages, as well as to a community auctions page on Facebook.
