Did you verify the IP's of the users reporting problems? Do they have different IP's for their posts?
Session IP validition verifies the first blocks of the IP address (A.B.C. the first three blocks, A.B the first two blocks). If you set it to "None" the IP's will not be verified to validate the session.

You should verify the IP adresses used by the users reporting the problem.

Most importantly its happening with me ....and daily , irrespective of the IP's . What to do ??

Try setting it to none. See if that helps. If not set it back to the original value.

Solution achieved :
In a nutshell ..
My ISP gives me a PPOE connection which changes IP W.X.Y.Z i.e the last two values many a times in a session . The first two values ( W and X ) remains the same throught the session.
Changing the setting of Session IP validation to A.B has solved the problem. I hope even my forum members are not facing problems now as i did .....
Recommended settings whenever many users have PPPOE via their ISP's .
Mine is BSNL in India .

Thanks HGN for the advice .

Another grateful admin... It's so nice to be able perform a simple Google search "phpbb can't stay logged in" and then a few minutes later, finding this thread.

Awesome. Thank you.
