Please describe your problem. I can login to my board fine. I can post and do my normal admin things. Ealier when I attempted to login to the ACP, I got the message that I was authorized and it was going to automatically redirect. THEN I get an error message saying that I do not have the proper level of access, and it kicks me out, and I see that my account has been logged off.

I have my settings checked to remember my login. This has happened on multiple computers that have different IP addresses. When I look at my admin log, I see "Anonymous" has "Successful adminisration login notes, three times (the three times I attempted to login and failed). Ten minutes later, it shows that I am actually logged in, and as of right now, I am.

I still have a lot to learn about cookie usage, and know that can cause issues like this, even though it is strange that it happened three times in a row before letting me in.

Cookie domain: madd74.com
Cookie name: phpbb3_uwy4r
Cookie path: /
Cookie secure: Disabled.

(other problem) Every now and then, I get the problem where I login the ACP, will click on a few links, and I am kicked out, even though it happens less and less these days. I think I have had this problem on and off since 3.0.2 or something like that, so it is not just my current release (and yes, I know I am due for a 3.0.8 upgrade /smile).

Your cookie domain should be .madd74.com

I did that, and I still am randomly unable to access my ACP as I am getting "logged out". I really am unsure the reason it is so random.

Also, to better give a visual, here are the actual errors. I circled the fact that it showed me logged in the first part, and second one showed me logged out, and the third one is the actual error.

I appreciate the help, thanks.

I have a similar problem with being constantly logged out of my ACP. All my cookie settings are set correctly.

two possibilities here that I can think of.
1. your style is out of date by a couple of versions. I don't remember why, but if your style is older than 3.0.6 I think this can be the culprit.

2. if you have installed any MODs lately or made any changes to the files, this can be the problem.
for instance, I tried doing a custom error page MOD that someone posted here the other day.
it worked just fine, but then I noticed that every time I logged in and tried to go to the admin panel I would get that same error message about not having permissions to access the admin.
as soon as I deleted the new htaccess and php files for that MOD, the problem went completely away.

I'm still having this problem unfortunately on a fresh install of phpBB 3.0.8. If the cause for this is ever discovered, let me know!

I recently rebuilt Honda Civic Forum from a fresh copy of 3.0.8.

As you'll see there's a custom theme and some added functionality now, but from day 1 of development I was still being logged out of the ACP all the time.

in your case, remove the dot from the front of your cookie domain.

when you already have two dots, you should not put the one in front.

do that, change the cookie name
purge the cache
test

You're kidding me!

I've always had his problem, and when I reported it here I was told to add a period to the beginning of my cookie domain field.

Upon doing this all 22,000 members of my board were logged out and unable to login again without manually clearing their cookies.

Are you saying I need to do that whole thing again? It will still an issue when I didn't have the period!

Thanks,
Alec
