This add-on (yup, it's an add-on = no files get modified) lists all avatars of all users of your forum.

If you have the "sticky avatar mod" installed then the sticky avatars will be listed too.

You can see an example here:
http://www.matrix-explained.com/php/listavatars.php

Another example is here: It is a forum, that has the Sticky Avatar Mod installed (the sticky avatar mod leaves your old avatars even if you upload a new one):
http://www.in-my-opinion.org/listavatars.php
Please note, that it seems that some avatars are displayed twice, but if you examine the filenames you see that they are different (= the same avatar has been uploaded twice).

The official MOD site (with the newest versions) is http://www.1-4a.com/

This MOD isn't able to display images that are stored on another server. All it shows is an empty box containing the number of times the image has been used to date...

OK, that works much better. All Avatars are displaying as expected, regardless of where they are stored...

Thanks for the quick fix...

FYI: I'm running 2.0.10. I think your MOD is listed for 2.0.6, if I remember correctly...

great

Post by skaloumbakas »

It's working great

I have applied the MOD (although i have no idea what this sticky avatar MOD is - I am using the No Avatar / Guest Avatar MOD)

I have included a link to the memberlist page (top right: list posters avatars & frequency)

What do you think? Do you think i could place the link, somewhere else too?

Seems like an ideal mod in making sure my avatars are appropriate :)

It's described here:
http://www.netclectic.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=181

You can see it in action here: If a user changes his avatar, the old avatar still stays visible with his old posts.

sticky avatars & sticky signatures...

Post by skaloumbakas »

Thanks knnknn

Coming to think of it though, this sticky avatar should go together with the sticky signature MOD (if such a huck exists...) don't you think?? Otherwise, it is half the job... :?

Sorry for the little bit 'off-topic' ...

Sticky Avatar
Sticky Signature
Sticky Post count
Sticky post text (= all edits are saved)

All are off-topic :D

Since sig can contain links and links can get outdated, this is probably not a good idea.

I spoke with my forum-members, and they would actually like those features, do you know if there exist such mods?

This is pretty good but I could see two improvements. (1) it would be nice if the avs were displayed three or four columns wide. A single column is too much scrolling to view. (2) it would be nice if there was a link in the control panel menu. Putting it on the memberlist page is okay, but then you have to edit all your styles. I'd just as soon have it in the control panel and be done.

Thanks. It's still nice though.
