So it is not a bug with phpBB core code but rather an issue when adding more radio buttons which your mod should have taken care of as it only occurs when adding your mod into the core code.

FWIW, I think the radio buttons as they are now in 3.0.9 are much uglier than they were prior. Guess I'll change it to a select on my forum.
Yes, I agree. Unfortunately with the longer labels all four options stopped fitting onto a single line. If you have a proposal how to make that particular aspect of our UI look better please submit an improvement ticket.

Great work on the upgrade, folks. I tried out the automatic upgrade routine on my test board (3.0.8), complete with quite a few mods (none autoMODed btw), and found I didn't have to change anything... conversion went smoothly, preserving my mods and merging the appropriate 3.0.9 changes... it was all much easier than I'd anticipated (this after upgrading from phpBB2 some months ago, though). Bravo!
After tidying up my custom style, making sure variable names are still correct etc, I should have this in production within a week. That's great.

Thanks.

Using automatic upgrade and updated successfully without any error from 3.0.8 to 3.0.9, even though I use custom style
Thank you very much. :D

a little thing,

on the code change there no mention in template/overall_header.html about the copyright phpBB on the Meta :

Code: Select all

<meta name="copyright" content="2000, 2002, 2005, 2007 phpBB Group" />
but this line is removed in the full package 3.0.9

So ?
It's been removed from the footer, but not the meta, iirc.

In fact, in the 3.0.9 full package, the overall_header.html doesn't have the code line anymore :

Code: Select all

<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset={S_CONTENT_ENCODING}" />
<meta http-equiv="content-style-type" content="text/css" />
<meta http-equiv="content-language" content="{S_USER_LANG}" />
<meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no" />
<meta name="resource-type" content="document" />
<meta name="distribution" content="global" />
<meta name="keywords" content="" />
<meta name="description" content="" />
As seen here : http://code.phpbb.com/projects/phpbb/re ... v_to=10873

Edit :
In the codechanges :

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
# Around Line 6
<meta http-equiv="content-style-type" content="text/css" />
<meta http-equiv="content-language" content="{S_USER_LANG}" />
<meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no" />
<meta name="resource-type" content="document" />
<meta name="distribution" content="global" />

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
# Around Line 11
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7; IE=EmulateIE9" />

#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]---------------------------------------------
# Just remove/delete the lines (replacing with an empty line)

Hi

I copied the Install file across OK but when I try to run install from the admin control panel I just get this:

--------------
Warning: require(./../includes/startup.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mysqldb/public_html/install/index.php on line 40

Warning: require(./../includes/startup.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/ mysqldb /public_html/install/index.php on line 40

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required './../includes/startup.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/ mysqldb /public_html/install/index.php on line 40
-----------

Any suggestions gratefully received - thank you

Hello my phpBB friends :D

This is not a support question but just a curiosity.
I just updated one of my boards from 3.08 to 3.09 and a strange thing happened.
In my ACP=>General it's written that my board version is 3.09 but in ACP=> System it says:

Your phpBB installation is not up to date.Below is a link to the release announcement, which contains more information as well as instructions on updating. - Re-Check version

Would you please explain this inequality to me?

Thanks for hard work :P

yes, this is a support question. however, to save time and space, you did not finish the update.

upload the install folder back to the server. then go to :
yourdomian.com/yourphpbb/install/database_update.php

then delete the install folder again.

Yeah, he completed the update, but it looks like the update went wrong. The database is the first thing to be updated ;)

Lupmy,

Thanks for the tip.
Everything is great now.
I didn't find this one in the instructions but it's everywhere shown: "UPDATED" now.

I must admit I don't see any changes on my board i.e. everything looks as exactly the same as with the version 3.08.

Doesn't matter. I always liked to be updated :D
Being updated is my motto 8-)

PS Critisizm should lead to improvement

The line was removed from prosilver/subsilver2 3.0.9, but in the code changes is missing, I sent yesterday to the bug tracker the error.

This time the update went off without any problems. Thanks to all the people who put their time into this project so that we could have a safe and secure forum software.

Thanks ;)

My team see another one on ucp_pm_viewmessage_print.html :

Code: Select all

#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------

#

It's the entire code to be deleted not only the final line ;)
