My situation is a bit different yet related to this topic so let's get into it.
I have a forum website that has several forums within different Categories, by clicking on a category (or Forum) the URL is usually display like this
http://www.myDomainName.com/viewforum.php?f=1

http://www.myDomainName.com/viewforum.php?f=6

What I would like to do is: instead of having a URL lthat ends ike this [ /viewforum.php?f=1 ] I would like to change it to something more user friendly or more realated to my niche like this [ /viewforum.php?f=sport ]

Before
http://www.myDomainName.com/viewforum.php?f=1

After
http://www.myDomainName.com/viewforum.php?f=sport
To summarize everything I want to change the last number of the Forum's URL into a word that best describe the selected Category or Forum.
