International error - please advice

Post by gorco »

Hi guys,

I'm Macedonian and I'm using the Macedonian language pack for my forum http://www.milenicinja.mk/forum as default language.

I've noticed the .txt files problem, that are not sending the Subject into the e-mails after user registration (I've selected the option the user to activate it's own account).

What is really interesting for this issue, is that I've downloaded Bulgarian language (to try), and I've copied the files ../language/bg/emails/ all the files from there to ../language/mk/emails/ to here.

I finally received an email with the subject, as it should be.
When I started to convert the bulgarian version of user_welcome_inactive.txt, to macedonian it happend the same.

I've tested this with the English files as well.
Even when I've eddited the Bulgarian files I got the email - subject problem.

I know that each first line is the Subject as the .txt starts:

Code: Select all

Subject: SOME WORDS
All the times after I edit them, I get the same problem.

Please advice,
gorco

I found the problem.

It appears that this is the solution of mine problem.

I do believe that there are many others that have/had the same.

Use the NOTEPAD++ to save a language .txt pack Encoding UTF-8 without BOM.
