Newly Registered Users group

Post by mark_l_sanders »

Should I need to remove new users from this group once they've reached the number of posts I've set up in the 'new member post limit' field?

I assumed they'd be removed automatically, but I've set the limit to 3 and just seen a member of that group with 5 posts. I removed them manually so no harm done but…???

Thanks

Yes they are removed automatically.

If you see people on 5, it's probably because the limit was previously on 5 and you've now changed it down to 3. If they post again, their next approval should take them out of the group.

You can resynchronise the members with the Support Toolkit

Thanks, Kevin. As you know, the default is 5; it was changed to 3 a couple of months ago but chances are that noone's ever got to 3 - I tend to keep an eye on it and remove them manually as soon as I know they're human.
Ill test it with a test user anyway. Thanks again

Actually, the default is 3 so if it was 5 it must have been changed at some time.
