Hi,

I would like to make only one junior admin type rather than giving all my moderators "junior admin" powers. Is this possible?

Jr Admin and ModCP are very different :wink:
one is heavy other is easy to use and simple (with secure features)

About allow ModeratorCP for a specific level, it's planned, but only if you will use User Level v0.9.3 (not available)
anyway you can always allow ModCP for a rank_id

@ darkx -> try with subSilver before :)
then be sure you applied all instructions quoted before in this topic (1st page)

I just found a "gotcha" with modcp.

If you're running the "flat-file" caching from the /contrib directory, you need to create /cache/[theme-name]/modcp and make sure it is writable by the webserver process. Otherwise, when your moderators try to access modcp, it will error out.

What is the reason of your post?
If it is for "shitting" you can past your way :wink:

This mod is valid and EasyMod compliant
if you failed it with validator, it's cause tab use instead of space in header information :wink:

I apologize if this has been mentioned already...

Instructions for the optional say

Code: Select all

#-----[ COPY ]------------------------------------------
#
copy root/admin/admin_ug_auth.php to modcp/admin_ug_auth.php
then

Code: Select all

#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
	//
	// Select a user/group
	//
	include('./page_header_mod.'.$phpEx);
I dont see :
include('./page_header_mod.'.$phpEx);

but i do see:
include('./page_header_admin.'.$phpEx);

should i change it to header_mod then?

I don't think our admins would want to give us more power than we already have.

Though I must admit. This is a really good MODcp!

@ GurlzLubme -> if you are using pre-edited files, you have nothing to do
install.txt explains what i did in this file to disable usergroup
"page_header_mod" refers to FAQ.txt if you applied change for modcp

@ cloud318 -> for myself, i trust at 100% in my moderators, so they have access to few modules (not all included in the full package)
They can edit users profiles, ban, word censor
Mass email and others features are not compulsory :)

there is no screenshot because this is the same panel as AdminCP with less features
You (Admin) choose which module you want allow :roll:
