by now the highest rate is 66. I think this is not responsible!

IMO a mass e-mass email is needed.

Also you (phpBB dev team) should think about other ways to publish phpBB ideas much better.

IMO in the current state it makes abosulutely not any sense.

Well we're open to ideas. What about this new Ideas area doesn't make any sense?

Also so what if there is a 66 percent as the highest? What does that have to do with anything? That percentage is based on the votes that particular idea has received. And mass email is not needed and out of the question. Not sure what exactly we would email our entire user base about. That this exists?

I'm not sure why you are bringing up mass email. There is no topic with such idea anywhere. If you think it should be implemented, feel free to create idea topic.

My understanding of Martin's comments is, essentially, he believes the ideas system needs more exposure. 66 positive votes whilst a good thing, isn't even a fractional percentage of users that are involved with phpBB.

In order to properly move towards community-driven software, more people need to be taking part and that can't happen unless the ideas system is properly endorsed and marketed.

Endorsement: A publicly documented criteria of: When an idea becomes 'popular' , when it would be 'up for discussion' , and potentially guarantees that a certain feature would be implemented into the core once it reaches x% of approval with a minimum of x votes.

Marketing: 3 key locations. phpBB Homepage, phpBB forum index and phpBB ACP. Ideas system needs to be implemented in these areas to maximise exposure, encourage community ideas and increase the votes so that a proper consensus can be established.
