MSN search is now the best search solution?

The new MSN search seems working very well, with good results.

Is it going to beat Google?

I don't know, but i'm going to use it since now. Other opinions?

the holier-than-thou evil empire attitude bit is extremely tired. and not just you, everyone seems to do it. it's trendy to pick a big target that everyone could hit. *yawn*

any further MS-bashing in this thread will result in a lock. please at least attempt to discuss various search engines actual pros & cons.

MSN Search Beta performs a hell of a lot better than their current search IMO... I decided to test run it myself for a bit, so didnt use google for a week!! (Madness I know)- the results MSN Beta returned we're pretty well what I wanted, I can't complain- but I don't know if it will entice me aay from google.

Since I use Safari and a Google bar is built in, I see no reason to move away from it. Both engines seem to find practically identical results.

As far as MSN Search taking over... when "let me MSN it" becomes commonplace, we'll talk.

Neither of those(except hydroponically grown fruits.. not sure what that means) industries are using monopolistic buisness means to kill of any competition... and if there are, I'm not supporting them.

And for the record, I don't drink bottled water.. in Sweden you can actually drink tap water.

I can understand why AltaVista declined, but I don't see a similar dynamic yet between Google and Microsoft's effort. The MSN community might now have reason to stay home, but people who are not MSN users don't have the same incentive, it seems to me.

I tell my users never to stick with just one search engine. IMHO, there is no such thing as THE search engine of all search engines.

So use both! It only takes about a minute more of your time.

i dont know about this, but all i know is I use Google for searching and sometimes Yahoo. But I doubt that MSN is gonna beat Google for searching.

I like competition and regardless of who "wins" the search war, I'm going to get a better search engine for free.
