Users are staying in newly registered users group?

Hello all I need some help. I'm running phpbb3.0.12 with Platinum 3.0.12 template

A few weeks ago in this topic I managed to resolve this issue after some help and a guide.

At that time I still had prosilver template. Recently I changed my template to Platinum 3.0.12 template

Since I made that change, users are no longer removed from the newly registered users group after 1 post count, I have not made any changes to any permissions, only changed the template.

Can anyone tell me what to do?

If it worked previously reverse whatever it was you did to stop it working.

there is nothing in any style that could affect anything to do with someone being in any particular group or not.

so, we have to find out what you changed that caused the problem.
or, make sure that what you think is happening is really what is happening.

exactly, in detail, what makes you think they are not being removed from the NRU when they hit the post count set?

Hello, I don't recall making any changes besides the template, however I could be wrong my memory is not 100% >.>

After 1 post count the users do not see the rest of the forum, so I checked if the users with 1 postcount or more were removed from the NRU group, and they were still in it so I had to manually remove them.

either you do not have the permissions set as you think, or , those members were in the NRU before you changed the post requirement settings. if you make any changes to the NRU settings it is not retroactive. it does not affect those already in the NRU.

Hello again, all these users are new members after I tested these settings with my old template.

I really don't recall having made any changes and I double checked and couldn't find anything wrong with it. They should be removed from NRU after 1 post count.

Is the post count of the affected users going up? Moving from the NRU group is based on post count not how many posts a user has made.

Someone may have set the increment post count permission for the RU group in one or more forums to No or Never, meaning the post count for users in the NRU will not increase regarding posts in those forums because the default permission for Newly Registered User Access role is No.

Thank you for your suggestion, while I was testing this it seemed like the issue had resolved itself!(?)

I made a new account, approved the post on my admin account and I did get 1 postcount. After that I logged in on the account and I had access to the whole forum automatically, seems like it resolved itself :]

I then checked the groups the account was in and it was only in the registered group and out of the NRU.
Hopefully it stays this way, if not I'll notify you guys, thanks for the help.
