hi all

just added this to my forums its working perfect and just wanting to let u know the Zip has to many folders in it so this wont work for Modx \ Auomod, all u need to do is up zip in

X:\Desktop\phpbb3 mods\Youtube-Gallery-master\Youtube-Gallery-master\

just zip the last folder which is called Youtube-Gallery-master (for an example) and use Automod to install i haven't had any problems with it at all

Mod Updated To Version 2.0.0

I'm pleased to announce that the mod has been updated to version 2.0.0. Your website visitors will now be able to view and search any/all of the videos on YouTube, and create a custom playlist from the results. Playlists are created by simply dragging and dropping video thumbnails to a box. In addition, visitors can view videos while searching for videos at the same time (without ever leaving your website). See the first post in this topic to download the mod and for upgrade instructions. Click here to view the demo.

New Features:

Ability to create custom playlist by dragging and dropping videos.
Tags that generate videos of popular search terms.
Hot Trends videos that automatically update from YouTube.
Ability to add/load videos from a specific User on YouTube.

Great mod! Thank you!
I just made a few changes in html and css.. Made is better for people with a smaller resolution
And scrollbar in the video list.

Just 1 little question, Is it possible to add the youtube video link under the video?
So that users can copy the link directly to share..

In reference to your question, no but if someone figures it out let me know. Also, you can copy the video link from the video itself. I know it's not the same as what you're asking but I just wanted to put that out there

I was just checking the file and realized that I already had the viewonline language edit in the mod. I just didn't get around to adding the viewonline.php portion (not in the public version of the mod anyway).

* Edit - The updated mod package should be ready tonight. I just have to make one more change.

Added ability to view View Online information (So you will know which members are viewing the YouTube page).

Click the Playlist tab (near the bottom of the screen on your YouTube page (on your site)). Next, enter the Playlist ID of the playlist you want to view.

The Playlist ID comes from the respective page/profile on YouTube. It's important to note that the YouTube profile page (person) must have created a playlist. Not everyone does this.

For example:

1) Click here for the profile page on YouTube for AsapSCIENCE.

2) Click the Playlists link.

3) Select one of the playlists

4) Copy the Playlist ID from the URL (everything after the 2nd "="). In the sample below, the Playlist ID would be: PLvFsG9gYFxY_tkY6avqT_8rMV3_CxuECh

Yes, sort, of.

1) Backup your website/board files.

2) Download and upload the edited template file here.

3) Open /root/language/en/mods/youtube_lang.php

Find:

Code: Select all

'YOUTUBE_VIDEOS_MOD_PLAYLIST_DEFAULT'                  => 'FLupvZG-5ko_eiXAupbDfxWw',

Replace FLupvZG-5ko_eiXAupbDfxWw with the default ID you want to use.

Find:

Code: Select all

'YOUTUBE_VIDEOS_MOD_USER_DEFAULT'                  => 'CNN',

Replace CNN with the default search term to use.

Find:

Code: Select all

'YOUTUBE_VIDEOS_MOD_RANDOM_0'                  => 'Funny',

Replace Funny with the Tag you want to use to pull-up your videos.

Let me know if you want to remove the Search Form as well.
