I'm exactly the same! Auto Groups is a new feature; Paypal/Donation is nice; There is a tutorial about creating custom Pages in the KB already, they'll update it for phpBB3.1 and Posting Templates are kindda useless since we already have pre-defined BBCodes.tmbackoff wrote:I went with Auto Groups, but here's my list in order of preference if anybody cares.
- Auto Groups
- Paypal/Donation
- Pages
- Posting Templates
Just want to chime in here - one shouldn't have to install an extension they may not want just to utilize one feature. In no way am I trying to demoralize the hard work you put into that extension (I've given it some limited testing and like it), but there are plenty of use cases where an AutoGroups extension could be useful by itself.rfdy wrote:With the Infractions extension in development ( viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2249516 ) the autogroups extension wouldn't be much use to us
+2 It will be nice to have such a extension on phpBB .. ex: One person donate 5Euro PP and will be for 1 Month in a group... This mod can be used for premium accounts. Who pay "x $" (Donate) have premium account for 1 Month.RMcGirr83 wrote:+1MrC wrote:For paypal it would be a nice feature to have a time limited group membership.
Member pays the subscription and becomes premium member for lets say a year. After that, the member will be a regular member unless he/she pays for another year.

Ship a PayPal plug-in that works, but make the infrastructure generic enough to support other gateways.

+1 for this.Pony99CA wrote:AutoGroups and then "topics only visible to topic starter".
