Keep in mind that if you're moving from phpBB 3.0 to phpBB 3.2, you're going to have to change styles anyway, because the 3.0 style will not be compatible. By the time 3.2 is released, you can decide to either use a community maintained version of subsilver for 3.2, the default style in 3.2, or an entirely new style that you like more. This change is incredibly unlikely to impact you negatively.Swanny wrote:I use subsilver on all my forums, I think it looks way better than prosilver (which looks dated IMHO), but what are ya gonna do. Just have to suck it up.
Seriously? Subsilver looks as ancient as VB. Who uses tables for layout these days? I don't like the standard colours of Prosilver, it's too gaudy for my taste, but changing colours is a simple enough task. The responsive Prosilver in 3.1 is a great step forward in making the forum more user friendly on all screen sizes.Swanny wrote:I use subsilver on all my forums, I think it looks way better than prosilver (which looks dated IMHO), but what are ya gonna do. Yes. There's an extension in github which should be out soon after 3.1.Swanny wrote:Is there some easy way to move the posters' info to the left of the posts in prosilver? It really doesn't belong on the right IMHO.
I never said you were dumb,I said it was a dumb thing to do..Marshalrusty wrote:I really don't appreciate being called dumb over something that you learned about 10 minutes ago, but that has been discussed for years with a large degree of approval.
Official subsilver support is being dropped to allow for focusing of resources where they are most needed. We are working on a new highly customizable style to become the new standard phpBB style. I'm sure that a member of the community will pick up support for subsilver2 (there's already an improved community developed version of it).
I certainly don't expect you to agree with every single decision that's made, but I do expect you to exhibit some basic level of respect.
Sure there is something you can do just what Iam doing Complain...Swanny wrote:I use subsilver on all my forums, I think it looks way better than prosilver (which looks dated IMHO), but what are ya gonna do. Just have to suck it up.
