Help, URL BBcode stopped working

As the header says, I am seeing the actual BBCode instead of the converted output...
What could be wrong?

Allow BB code is set to yes!!

we really need more info than that.

link to your board. link to a post that we can see that has this bbcode in use.

what did you do just before this stopped working?

it did not stop working all by itself. something had to change.

See the top post there. The user is trying to use the URL and it doesn't work. I tried it and it didn't work for me either. The forum is brand new, so I didn't know that this didn't work. It only just went live.

Not sure what caused it to stop working. Nothing I did recently. I restored an older backup but it was broken there too. I will go through my backups and see if I can find one where it works.

The problem is that I don't know which file is broken... There are 3-4 files at least, to do with BB code.

Doesn't look like a proper url. It's supposed to have something like http:// in front of it

can you click on the edit button for that post and then copy and paste the actual bbcode used for those links here.

from what I can see, it is working just fine.

the links are posted as URLs and they work. I can't read the language but it looks to me like apg29.com simply does not exist as a domain name.

I think the problem was that I wasn't using http://
Also I thought I could use

but this doesn't work. Only

Code: Select all

[url]http://www.example.com[/url]

works.... A shame because the hyperlink can sometimes be quite ugly.

That works fine if you take out the quotes.
