IIS7 getting this error having uploaded install directory and trying to access:

Trailing paths and PATH_INFO is not supported by phpBB 3.0

3.0.12 --> 3.0.13

When did your problem begin? 1. Downloaded phpBB-3.0.12_to_3.0.13.zip from the official homepage.
2. Extracted the files and copied the install folder to the board.
3. Tried to access http://.../install (both locally on the web server and remote via the web).
Please describe your problem. Expected result: Install process starting.
Actual result: Empty page with the following message: "Trailing paths and PATH_INFO is not supported by phpBB 3.0"

Went back to 3.0.12

is everyone having this problem trying to install on IIs and if so, what version of php are you using?

PHP Version 5.5.21

Supplying a data point, automatic upgrade from 3.0.12 to 3.0.13 on a CentOS 6.6 system went fine. php -v says PHP 5.3.3 (cli) (built: Oct 30 2014 19:56:14)

IIS with PHP 5.5.21 but I just verified that the same errors comes up using IIS with the old PHP 5.3.27.

PHP Version 5.4.36
Followed the same process I normally do, upload files v.i FTP and then try to run database update php file.

Note sure if this is related, but I have a lot of phpbb forum database calls php included into my website.

I'm on a dedicated machine (IIS web server + PHP) so I'm trying to solve the issue ("Trailing paths and PATH_INFO is not supported by phpBB 3.0") by using URL Rewrite and reg expressions but no success for now.
