quote remover

Post by yarnik »

was a good mod "quote remover" viewtopic.php?f=69&t=937075, and version 3.1 will be expanding?

It would be very good with the additional option:
Remove spaces and newline before and after quotes

was just going to ask the very same thing.

I'm surprised this something hasn't been introduced as part of core release. For example, If you have maximum nested quote set to 1, why would you want to include any quotes previous.

I need this for my forum too.
I'll go and do an extension for that for sure.

Do you think it would be better to remove the quotes before the post window appears where you can type the post, or after you send it?
(I would prefer the first way)

And why should the user get an error message for exceeding the allowed number of quotes? And then have to remove them manually and leave broken bits of BBCode in their posts? Or change their mind and not make the post. This should absolutely be part of the core.

Waiting patiently for the extension but it's the only thing keeping me from moving to 3.1.x.

Bump, would anyone have an update on this, it's the only thing stopping me putting my 3.1.3 board live.

Thanks,
D

I suspect there are a lot more things than this stopping you - the main one being that it is nowhere near being released, or even written.

It is the next thing I will do. Maybe even before updating all my other extension.
Can't give you a date, but I would say it will be weeks, not months.

Hey Wolfsblvt, my forum members are really looking forward to this extension, how long before a beta release do you think?
