First of all, great job!

But is it possible to eliminate the automatic messages that appears on chat? I mean those that appears when you dial up and disconnects you.

Thank you!

In we_universal style (DEV) there is a lot of problems (index.php).
Could you check/fix it?

i will when it gets validated by the phpbb styles team and released on this site. too many styles never come out of DEV here and i will not spend time on them until they get officially released.

Spaceace - thank you so much for this superb piece of work.
You Beta-2 has worked flawlessly for me. Kudos.

The only thing I would ask is whether it could easily be made possible to run a second one simultaneously?
This of course would not be able to appear in Board Index and only accessible by clicking the top link.

Looking forward to this, a couple of suggestions if I may, Can we have a option to display the posting chat/submit field at the bottom instead of the top?? Also also hide the "whos online" in say permissions?

D.
there is currently no plan to move the input to the bottom but could possibly be in the future. there are currently no permissions in this extension save the admin/mod permission to delete the messages. but a switch in the UCP could be added to turn the whos online box on or off if that will do what you're wanting.
Hi!

Any update about an option to display the full chatbox at the bottom? :)

Hello Spaceace, and thank for your shoutbox extension, that works very well.

Is it possible to have an option in the ACP to choose where shoutbox appear (top or bottom) ?
At this time, users must change their preferences in the UCP to display it on the bottom if they want, but it will be pretty nice if the administrator can choose what position is set by default (top or bottom)... and because I prefer the bottom position by default for my users.
If this option exist in the UCP, can you simply add it in the ACP ? :)

Thank you for your answer. ;)

I will add that option to ACP for next release as it's an option that should be also in ACP.

You should be able to acheive this using permissions.

Awesome extension, thanks! I'm attaching up-to-date (v2.1.0-BETA) czech translation below.

https://mega.co.nz/#!ZdhRTbII!Zn09r9GIi ... AKL1YUYLb0

Two small suggestions for improvement (please excuse, if it's already planned):
  1. When extension UI is disabled on index page (=extension only accessible via link in navbar), wouldn't it be better to consider user connected to chat after he actually enters it? (now the user is considered connected to chat once he enters index)
  2. The "online members" list is great, it doesn't, however, take into account the user setting "hide me on the board". Sadly, together with the first issue, this made me switch that functionality off on my board, because "invisible" moderators were easily detectable just by entering chat.
Thank you very much for consideration.

Note for PHP < 5.4 users:
No need to upgrade your PHP installation because of this extension. You just have to search for statements like:

Code: Select all

$array = [.../*some code*/...];
and change it to

Code: Select all

$array = array(.../*some code*/...);
Affected files:
  • event/listener.php
  • controller/archive.php
  • controller/chat.php
  • controller/popup.php
After this modification, extension can successfully run on server with PHP 5.x.
