1. Dump database to backup file
2. Use a text editor on the dump to Find and Replace link
3. Restore database

^^^^ do you think that would work?

Easy to try and if it does not work can always restore the unmodified backup.

I have to say it's great work you're doing here. I'm very glad to get my gallery back after the upgrade to 3.1

The problem I have now is that I can see the images in the gallery but all the links in the old postings don't link to the images yet.

For example:

This old link in an old post: http://www.saabsforum.com/gallery/image ... age_id=802

Should go to: http://www.saabsforum.com/app.php/galle ... 802/source

Is there a way to adjust the path in the gallery software or do I have to run some sort of update on the database to change all the old links?
I had the same problem. Looks like old pictures in the old gallery were using the [album]xxx[/album] tag. Just go to bbcodes and copy the code from [image]xxx[/image], that fixed the "no route found" for me.

You could use rewrite rules in the htaccess file.

Ok, got it working. The 'find & replace' operation is slightly more complicated than I originally thought but here is what I did.

1. Download a backup to your PC in text format.
2. Use a good quality text editor to open the backup file.
3. Find and Replace has to be done in two stages:

- a. FIND: gallery/image.php?album_id=xxx&image_id=
>>>> REPLACE WITH: app.php/gallery/image/

- b. FIND: [/img:
>>>> REPLACE WITH: /source[/img:

xxx = your album numbers... I repeated this step 30 times for my own gallery as I have around 30 albums.

4. Upload the modified .sql file to the phpbb server and restore the backup.

WARNING: This will break img links where the image isn't hosted in your gallery. In my case that is fine as the images which are important are the ones in my gallery. The rest are probably all pointing to broken links anyway. I allow editing on all posts with no time constraint so if any my users want to go back and edit past posts then they can go ahead. I could probably run another find and replace to find .jpg/source[/img] and replace with .jpg[/img] but I'll come back to that another day.

You could use a regex find/replace do do all in 1 go without messing up the normal IMG's.

Guys, I'm working on the EPV comparability. Please be advised that you could have some issues with UCP and some ACP panels. If you have any - just report them to me and I will fix it.

As I have said - you will have to wait for this kind of visualization.
