I skipped over 3.1.5 on my live site since it was generating all those errors in the error log in my Xampp server. Hopefully this fixes that.

Hello, guys!
Thank you for the new release!

BTW I wonder why the release announcement is a bit late: the files of the 3.1.6 release became available a week ago.

It does.

Updated 2 boards to the RC when it came out - looks like I'll be doing updates again. :P

Different parts of the release process are done by different people and they aren't always around at the same time.

Everything up to and including the building of packages (https://gist.github.com/nickvergessen/c ... a778c95a16) is done by the release manager (or the development lead if the release manager cannot complete any part of it for any reason). Then the announcement is drafted by the development lead or project manager in collaboration with a number of other team members (proof reading etc.) and then the announcing/deploying of the release is done by the website lead with either the development lead or a release manager (As there is quite a bit to do beyond just posting the announcement and making a quick edit to the downloads page).

Maybe you should think of a favorite sequence and a substitution plan for summer vacation time and other phases where people have no time for their steps to get the release done.

Of course it is no drama, when you release a week later, but this time it led to confusions in the user side.

I wasn't confused at all - I just wait for the announcement and take it from there.
