Would this mod work on 3.0.12 (well, I guess not, since you specifically mention a later version as the minimum requirement)? If not, do you have an older version which would? I can't update my forum due to some other mods not being updated so I'm going to have to make do with it as it is.
Thank you.
I assume you must be based in europe otherwise you would not need a MOD for this.

having said that, if you can't find a MOD for 3.0 for cookies then do a web search for a cookie script to do this and simply add it to your 3.0 board files.

Hi, thank you for your reply.
Yes, I'm based in Europe and I have a traffic tracker installed that uses cookies so I reckon I should install a cookie notification script.

I haven't been able to find a mod that does this, so I reckon I'll have to do it the way you suggested. Where would I put the code I get from that site though? In the footer html?

I have no experience with that script. I simply googled for a cookie script and that was the second one in the return.

however, I would assume that the html would go in the footer and if it has a javascript it would go in the overall_header.html file.

I would also assume that when you download the script it will come with instructions on how to use it.

luck,

Hi,
thank you for this extension, which works ok.
W3C validator tells there is an error:

Do you have the problem if you use "en" language?

Do you have the problem with prosilver?

This URL works:
http://www.pessimismoefastidio.it/forum ... ad23cfc5d8

This not works:
http://www.pessimismoefastidio.it/forum ... icy/cookie

Strange...

Enable mod_rewrite from ACP?

ACP - Server configuration - Server Settings - Enable URL Rewriting -> Mark "Yes" click on Submit button.

And test again.
All unsolicited PMs will be ignored.

Use this simple script

In style/template/overal_header.html just before the </head> tag, add the following code:
(customize the "message" text and link if you have different privacy policy in your site)

Code: Select all

<!-- Begin Cookie Consent plugin by Silktide - http://silktide.com/cookieconsent -->
<script type="text/javascript">
    window.cookieconsent_options = {"message":"This website uses cookies to ensure you get the best experience on our website!","dismiss":"Got it!","learnMore":"Learn more","link":"http://www.yourwebsite.com/policy","theme":"dark-top"};
</script>

<script type="text/javascript" src="//s3.amazonaws.com/cc.silktide.com/cookieconsent.latest.min.js"></script>
<!-- End Cookie Consent plugin -->

What has that go to do with this extension? Editing core code is not an extension.

Please start your own topic.

Found the reason why moderators weren't able to click on the hammer icon below the topic. After disabling this extension it started working again, The hammer icon under post where quick topic moderation tools are. Cheers

This is not visible nor it wont open with this ext enabled; http://i.imgur.com/1hDE9rS.png

Maybe because you are the moderator of that forum. After disabling this ext, everything works fine.

I am unable to recreate this issue - in fact I cannot see how it would affect that list as the extension does not go anywhere near it.
