Thanks for posting the code for the EVENT tag hack Marshalrusty.

I'm a junior administrator on an expanding roleplaying forum which uses forum tags to mark topics which may one day be given their own subforums. Our main administrator has already put product logos onto all the bespoke subforums we have for popular product lines. If we could also use this "[EVENT]" trick for our own customised tags that might really help our users find the topics about less popular product lines that interest them.

I do have a question about this. You wrote this:

Open phpBB/styles/prosilver/template/viewforum_body.html
<snip - awesome looking code>
Does this mean that the same hack would need to be implemented for every different forum style implimented on a forum? (And would the hack need to be rehacked every time an administrator updates to a newer release of phpBB 3.0.X?)

If this was a mod, would it be able to work with any style?

Unless your style uses Template Inheritance, yes, you will have to apply that code change to all styles.

As you're using phpBB 3.1, why not take Rusty up on his offer to create an Event extension (if it hasn't already been done)?

I recently updated to 3.1/prosilver, I'd like to get this feature working again. Can someone post the changes? Marshalrusty ?
