Multiple phpBB - shared avatar

I read this tutorial and I have problem with shared avatar. I create symlinks, and change value in phpMyAdmin, in config table of avatar salt from 32db67ad3faaa625292780a5a9acb2ce to 8199d53ad4efffb8fd204ed54fdb4432.

I have avatar files in the same place but when uplaod avatar I still get file name
32db67ad3faaa625292780a5a9acb2ce_52 (not 8199d53ad4efffb8fd204ed54fdb4432_52)

How can I change it?

Have you tried contacting the author?

I would have thought using a gravatar avatar would do what you require.
