Using USER_ID in search

Post by cedricthecat » Sat Jun 04, 2016 6:45 pm

Hi folks

I'm making a few site specific edits to our FAQ, and while there, want to make it as easy as possible for users to find their own posts. I've pointed them to UCP>Front Page then "Show your posts" which links to, in my case

/search.php?author_id=55&sr=posts

I need a way to replicate this for the current user, which I can put into help_faq.php, but not sure of the syntax required. I've tried

<a href="search.php?author_id=%user_id%&sr=posts">click here</a>

and

<a href="search.php?author_id=%user%&sr=posts">click here</a>

which take me to the general search page, but not to the posts for the current user

Am I anywhere near what I need or way off beam?!

Thanks in advance for any help :)
