Hide Zebra Buttons on Admins profile

Hi there,

Is there a way to hide the "Add Friend" and the "Add Foe" Buttons from the Admins Profile page?

I'm not sure if enough information is given in the profile template data to identify if a users profile belongs to a mod or admin to use a template switch - then it is just a matter of styling. If not, then you need a extension (or code hacking aka mod, which is deprecated in 3.1-series).

Any special reason for your request? Nobody can ignore a admin (or a moderator) in the current implementation, so pressing the "foe"-Button gives a error message.
For a friend - why will you not allow to make a admin your friend? The "Friend"-Status is actually just a help to address PMs quicker. (And a admin as a friend is much better than a admin as a foe

)

Thanks for your reply. Good points you made there...

I had another thought: The Site creator (often the one and only Admin) has just an FYI Profile... normally he (or in this case: I) has also a User Profile and I want my buddies to accept my profile as friend and ignore the admin account.. does this make sense?

OK, hope i got your point:
You have a special account (maybe the default account number 2) used only for administration purposes.
For any other activity you use a "normal" account and you won't receive PNs to your admin account

Just remove to "PM"-Permissions (set all to never) from the admin account - if he can't read PMs, you can't sent PMs to him.

Just a thought that has come to me for this type of situation - I wonder if a PM "redirect" feature would work?

Me thinks an extension is coming on!

This has already been done with the permissions...
Maybe this is not an issue on most sites, but I want exactly user ID=2 not to be seen as a user - more as an "about" page...
