Easiet way to add links and ads to left side of forum??

Post by CasinoHype »

I see quite a few forums with static links and ads on the left side of their forums. What is the easiest route for this??

I search mods, etc.. It looks like postnuke can do it, but looking for something easier.

Here is an example (i think they are using postnuke)

You can also create a table and add the links, and another option if using extreme styles you can get a killer configurable from the acp nav menu setup, visit my site to see it.

Just noticed that when you click into a thread, you lose the table, I need it to be static..

you could set the links with html and use the target _blank which would open a new window, or edit the appropriate tpl files to include the table you made in the parts of the forum you want it to be static.

Just fully installed MX, but when you click the into a forum topic/thread, it no longer keeps the table structure...

Thanks though.

Another other options??

For MX support post at the mx-system.com site... as quoted countless times there, *because* it's fully modular unlike other portals, it doesn't touch phpBB files; therefore, its nav menu isn't added to phpBB, which would require MODding.

There's a beta MOD that lets you do this (also a stable one). Look around for it, it's not too hard to find.
