I would love to test the extension, but I need to manually send reminders. I do not want the extension to do this.

:D So far so good! I installed and activated this yesterday, everything works as expected - no glitches.

1. I did not use the topics option (no need)
2. I did not use the self delete option (no need)

The inactive user list updates itself almost immediately when a previously inactive user logs in, NICE! After just a short while that user is removed from the list altogether - NICE!

Truly this is saving me from manual tasks. It does exactly what it is supposed to do- Bravo!

Anxiously awaiting the final version! I assume if this all goes well - as it has so far - you will be able to add other "options".

Good Job Andreask - obviously a great deal of effort has gone into this and it shows! ;)

Cheers,
Scotty

That option is not currently included in this Ext...I'm not sure why it would be.... but, If you are looking to do this manually, that can be done via the Phpbb tools already provided.

1. ACP- System tab -Mass Email
2. Click find a member
3. Sort members according to desired criteria, last login date or how you see fit and then select all
4. draft your email body (or copy and paste a pre drafted one)
5. Send email. ;)

For the next release (hopefully the RC) I am trying to have an option on users quicktools.
So the admin will be able to send reminders to a selected user. (click on the username on the inactive users list)
But I don't think I will have another manual option for it.

@ScottyPC, thank you for your kind words! :)

Could you please explain why would you need to have such task done manually?

Best regards,

Andreas

There are a number of inactive users I do not want to send reminders to. And at the same time I would like to have somewhere in the database recorded when and how many times a reminder was sent to this user.

I see,

Well one of your problems could be solved on the next release.
I have added a group ignore option.
But for the records the only thing is what you see in the inactive user list...
Number of reminders sent, previous reminder and last reminder dates.

Ok I am now testing this out, this could be interesting because I have a lot of people forget my forum even exist lol.... so it will be interesting to see how it pans out, also just a bit of constructive criticism, the extension would be better if it was possible to edit the templates from the ACP similar to the way you can edit the template in ACP Add user :)

Keep up the good work.. I'll let you know how it goes

Hi Andeask

So far everything is still working great.

I have noticed one possible improvement suggestion.

The total number of inactive users to be displayed at the bottom of the page . This would allow the admin to quickly see exactly how many users are still inactive day to day without having to count them.

Example - currently the page view is set to 10 users per page - I see 3 pages, I only know that there are somewhere between 21 - 30 inactive users- unless I investigate further. So having the total dosplayed at the bottom of the page as "Total inactive users (25)" would be nice to have.

Cheers,
Scotty

^ There is still this to consider perhaps?

Also a quick update:

The first lot of reminders have been sent out & people who haven't logged in for nearly seven years are now asking me about password resets... so yes a very good extension indeed, as stated in my last comment, there is room for improvement, but still very well put together!
