I'm testing...
I have a problem:

my forum is: www.amigosenlaruta.com/foro
the new link with this ext, open in: http://amigosenlaruta.com/foro/www.tv.jw.org .... in a blank page...and not with the link correct...In this case it should be: www.tv.jw.org

why?

suggesttion: if possible that links open in other tab?

I tested the link you wrote, and it works.

I can insert a js that recognizes external and internal links globally, i suggest installing this large extension https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/elonw/

I installed and when i added new links, it showed Error.

2) What version use phpbb3

You can upload image of any site that hosts images PostImage for example https://postimage.io, give me a screenshot of settings the enter, otherwise I can not I see what we might be wrong.
